Workshop Terms and Conditions

Please read these terms and conditions carefully before booking any workshops on our website.

1. Booking Confirmation:

All workshop bookings made through our website are subject to availability.

Your booking is considered confirmed only upon receipt of payment and a confirmation email from us. Please ensure that you provide accurate contact information during the booking process to receive your confirmation.

2. Payment:

Payment must be made in full at the time of booking to secure your spot in the workshop.

We accept payment via Visa, MasterCard, Apple Pay, Google Pay, American Express, PayPal, Shop and UnionPay.

3. Cancellation and Refund Policy:

Workshop bookings are non-refundable except as outlined in paragraph 5 below.

Participants may request changes to their booking time slots within a reasonable timeframe prior to the workshop date. Participants also have the option to transfer their workshop booking to another individual if they are unable to attend.

Changes to workshop bookings are subject to availability and must be approved by Makespace Australia.

Please email us as soon as possible at admin@makespaceau.org to request any changes to your workshop booking. While we will do our best to accommodate your request, changes are not guaranteed and may depend on availability.

4. Late Arrivals and No-Shows:

Participants are expected to arrive on time for workshops. Late arrivals may disrupt the workshop and impact the experience for other participants.

If you anticipate being late, please email us as soon as possible. We will do our best to accommodate you, but cannot guarantee entry if you arrive significantly late.

No-shows (participants who do not attend the workshop without prior notice) will not be eligible for a refund or rescheduling.

5. Workshop Changes:

We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule a workshop due to unforeseen circumstances or low enrolment.

In the event of a cancellation or rescheduling, we will notify you as soon as possible and offer alternative dates or a full refund. Refunds will be processed within 30 business days from the date of cancellation.

Makespace Australia shall not be liable for any consequential loss, including but not limited to travel expenses or accomodations, resulting from the cancellation or rescheduling of workshops.

6. Participant Conduct:

Participants are expected to behave in a respectful and appropriate manner during workshops.

We reserve the right to remove any participant from a workshop if their behaviour is disruptive or harmful to others. No refunds will be issued in such cases.

7. Liability:

Participation in workshops is voluntary and at your own risk. Makespace Australia, its owner, instructors, and affiliates shall not be liable for any injuries, damages, or losses incurred during workshops.

While we take reasonable precautions to ensure the safety of participants, we cannot guarantee the prevention of accidents, injuries, or incidents.

We recommend that participants follow all safety instructions provided by workshop instructors.

Please inform workshop instructors of any medical conditions, allergies, or other concerns that may affect you or your child's participation.

8. Supervision of Children:

Children above the age of 5 participating in workshops will be under the supervision of workshop instructors that hold valid Queensland Blue Cards.

Parents or guardians are responsible for supervising children under the age of 5.

While we strive to provide a safe environment, parent or guardians must ensure the safety and well-being of their children at all times.

Makespace Australia, its owner, instructors, and affiliates shall not be liable for any incidents or accidents involving unsupervised children.

9. Intellectual Property:

All workshop materials, including but not limited to presentations, handouts, and instructional content, are the intellectual property of Makespace Australia.

Participants may not reproduce, distribute, or share workshop materials without prior written consent.
